October - December 2007
12/24/07: Almost too late, but here's that update I promised! Sprite sets for the Day of Black Sun outfits have been finished for Aang, Katara, Sokka, Toph, Zuko, Azula, Appa, Bato, and Hakoda (as well as two other sets), AND Fire Lord Ozai. :D You can see them all at the Sprite Site. I hope you all have a happy holiday/winter, and a happy new year! ^_^
12/14/07: The latest new episode "The Western Air Temple" has aired in Canada tonight. Still no word of when the episode will air in the USA though.
12/11/07: Kinda late, but I'm going on a small break. >_>; I'll try having a real update up before Christmas though.
11/19/07: The votes have been tallied and the results are up for the Avatar Pumpkin Carving Competition! Thank you everyone who entered and voted, and congrats to Alternatecoppa, Jade/Musogato (^^;), P-Nizzle, K_Puff, Webbs4sail, and the rest of the top 15 winners! =D
11/5/07: The voting for the Avatar Pumpkin Carving Competition has begun! It will stay open for two full weeks, so you have plenty of time to vote for your 5 favorite pumpkins. ^^ The results will be posted on Nov. 19th. Site wise, the OMG Dude page has been updated with the Avatar mention in Unfabulous, and the opening credits bender identities. :)
10/31/07: A quick reminder: the DH forum's Avatar Costume Contest ends November 2nd, and DH's Pumpkin Carving Contest ends November 4th, so if you've made an Avatar carving and/or costume, please send in those entries before the deadline if you haven't already. There are great prizes for each contest, including an autographed photo of Greg Baldwin (Iroh's new voice actor), and the first Avatar video games. =)
10/24/07: In a move with more WTF than I can comprehend, networks in the UK have decided to air the first 10 episodes of Book 3: Fire together in one week; two episodes per day. Today aired "The Avatar and the Fire Lord," and the next four episodes will air tomorrow and Friday. While this is great for fans who want to speed through the final Avatar season as quickly as they can, I'm afraid I'm not one of them and so this fansite will reflect that, and updates will be made based on the US airings. However there are plenty of spoilers to be found in forums like Distant Horizon's, and it's probably only a matter of time before videos are available online. So have fun or be careful, depending on which route you choose. ^^;
Site-wise...I'm still working on updates. Although the Fire Nation disguise sprites for Katara, Toph, and Sokka are finished, and you can find them on the Sprite Site. A couple entries for the Avatar Pumpkin Carving Competition have also been added, and don't forget -- the deadline to send in your carving is November 4, and anyone can enter.
10/16/07: The second Avatar video games "The Burning Earth" go on sale today for North America, and I finally put together a mini-site for the games. Right now it has general info (and detailed info for the new flying levels), and media for the new game, but I plan on adding info for the first Avatar game later this week. The OMG Dude page has also been updated with easter eggs/fun trivia from "Sokka's Master" and "The Swamp" episodes, and the Voice Acting page has been updated.
10/12/07: The Voice Acting and Episode List for the past two eps have been updated, and there are new Wallpapers from Pon de Replay, Kimberly, and Luke. I also finished the sprite sets for Aang's Fire Nation disguise, as well as the red capes for Toph, Katara, and Sokka from The Awakening & Headband eps. Also, DH's Avatar Pumpkin Carving Competition is back up, and this year the top prizes are Gamecube/PS2 versions of the first Avatar video game, thanks to THQ! However, volunteer fanart/etc prizes would still be appreciated in case the winners don't play video games. More info can be found on the site, or by clicking on the pumpkin sprite at the top of this page. :)
In other news, Avatar will begin airing in Japan on December 1st! ^_^ It's titled or Avatar: The Legend of (boy) Aang. And for lucky grade school students, they're holding dubbing auditions until November 12 in Tokyo. More info can be found AnimeFan (Google translated in English), and thank you Rina for the heads up! ^^
