About the site:
Distant Horizon was opened on Feb. 28, 2005 and is run by me (Jade). Most of the content here was written by me unless otherwise stated, and many of the screenshots used were taken by me. This site is not affiliated with Nickelodeon or any of the other official related groups.

About the name:
It sort of came out of nowhere, but I think it fits nicely because 'Distant Horizon' makes one think of a long journey. And Aang, Katara, and Sokka's journey to restore balance to the world is indeed a long and winding path.

About the layout:
This is layout version 8, called "Hazy Republic". For more info on this layout and previous Distant Horizon layouts, click here.

About me:
I am Jade; 27, female, Capricorn. I love all kinds of storytelling mediums, as well as webdesign, drawing, crochet, writing, and video games. I've been online since the late 90s, and will probably stay online until I'm in my 90s. :P

My favorite Avatar episodes are:
Book 1: Winter Solstice, Jet, Waterbending Master, Siege of the North
Book 2: Avatar Day, Blind Bandit, The Chase, Lake Laogai, The Earth King
Book 3: The Headband, Sokka's Master, The Firebending Masters, Sozin's Comet.

My favorite Korra episodes are: all of them, and my favorite characters are: Sokka, Aang, Toph, Iroh, Katara, Teo, and Appa. For Korra characters, its gotta be Lin Beifong, Bolin, Korra, and Tenzin. :)
